Food and nutrition
Three meals a day, cooked here
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon meal, prepared in the school kitchen from a dietitian-approved menu.
Food is one of the first things families ask about, and rightly so. If a child spends most of the day here, all three meals happen here.
We do not bring meals in. Breakfast, lunch and the afternoon meal are prepared in the school's own kitchen. The menu is approved by a dietitian, changes with the season, and does not repeat a dish two days running.
What happens at the table
Laying the table together
Children take turns helping to lay the table. A child who carries their own plate sits down more willingly.
No forcing
We do not insist that a plate is finished. We ask them to taste; the rest is their decision.
New tastes, again and again
A child sometimes needs eight or ten tries before accepting a new food. We do not drop it from the menu after one refusal.
You know by the evening
We share what your child ate that day, so you can plan dinner around it.
Allergies and special diets
We record allergies and any special dietary needs at enrolment. Both the kitchen and the class teacher see this. When there is any doubt, we ask you.
This month's menu is published on the home page, in the Menu section. It is updated every month.
Come and see the school
Choosing a preschool online is hard. You need to walk in, feel the place and hear the children.
